Tegria at HIMSS25: Key Takeaways, Expert Insights, and What’s Next

HIMSS25 was an incredible opportunity for Tegria to connect with industry leaders, share insights, and showcase how we’re helping healthcare organizations navigate their biggest challenges. From thought-provoking discussions on AI and patient access to engaging with peers and innovators, we were honored to be part of the discussion. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights.

Exploring Healthcare Transformation: Tegria’s HIMSS25 Sessions

On Monday night, we celebrated Tegria’s 2025 Best in KLAS award for Payer IT Consulting at the Best in KLAS Show. Next came Tegria’s sessions, each highlighting critical aspects of healthcare transformation. The first session, “Enhancing Access and Experience: Bridging Insights and Innovations in Healthcare,” explored key findings from The Health Management Academy (THMA) on patient access and experience. Speakers Tye Cook, Senior Executive Director of Access Transformation at Tegria, and Jerome Pagani, Executive Director of Member Insights at THMA, discussed how a streamlined, operations-forward approach to technology can help healthcare organizations make real improvements in access and experience.

See Tye Cook discuss how organizations can approach capacity management to unlock scheduling and improve experiences.

The second session, “Building the Foundation for AI: SLUHN’s Journey to a Modern Data Platform,” focused on how St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN) and Tegria collaborated to build a cloud-based Azure data lakehouse, from early-stage planning and process through analysis and insights about next steps. Presenters included Dan Goldklank, Executive Director of Enterprise Sales at Tegria; Mike Edwards, Director of Data Services at Tegria; Chris Naylor, Director of IT Application Development at SLUHN; and Curran McCalley, Data Architect at SLUHN.

See Mike Edwards discuss how the team approached AI readiness in the project’s early stages.

Another highlight was our Lunch and Learn session titled “Navigating the Healthcare AI Wave: Strategies for Evaluation, Decision-Making, and Implementation.” This interactive discussion provided attendees with practical insights for evaluating AI opportunities, choosing between build, buy, or hybrid models, and navigating IT and operational challenges. The session featured Kjrk Reyerson, Senior Managing Consultant at Tegria, and Dr. Melek Somai, VP, Chief Technology & Product Officer, and Assistant Professor at Inception Health, Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin.

Kjrk Reyerson and Melek Somai address questions about AI integration at Tegria’s standing-room-only lunch event.
